The Upper Body

In order to sink down and ground into oneself, the upper part of the body must first be released of its repression. Otherwise, below, will be uncontactable...

The diaphragm, chest, throat, neck, jaw & face of the regular human has been subjected to a barrage of unconscious bracing, tension and torture; Over-engaged, tight & numb. The excessive use of screens in today’s world closes down the throat and solar center pretty damn quickly, whilst draining the eyes. This has a direct knock-on affect to the rest of the body.

The upper part of the body is very important, as it contains the heart center, which is the house of deep feeling and oneness. If this area is rigid, fearful or numb, a person will experience high levels of stress consistently. They will function almost permanently in a state of fight or flight, and be plagued with an overactive mind - unable to breathe deep, past a diaphragm which is storing heaps of fear, control and constriction - Just some of the fruits of a braced-being.

Regardless of what type of person comes to me for energy work, the upper part of the body has in many cases taken the worst beating, from a society that supports everyone in shutting-the-fuck-up, and stuffing their feelings down.

Please, you, human...take sweet care of your beautiful body and take your foot off the gas. Slow down baby!

Take some time to soften. To check-In. To remember, that you are more than your head.

Figure out how to drop that weight you spend all that time unconsciously clutching on to. Otherwise it will inevitably crush you. Allowing ourselves to really feel the extent of our pain can be one of the greatest tools for awakening.

The depth of your life is going to be in direct correlation with the depth of your breath. Remember to breathe.

It’s the simple things that create the deepest healing.

Much love to you.
Chris
